You Gotta Wear Shades

Ever since Anns was a little girl she could take a
few accessories and make a game up that lasted for hours! She has spread this gift to her younger siblings, it is one of my greatest joys as a mom to watch their little imaginations run wild.

Mother's Day Tea

Mr. DiCianno and Mrs. Bean are famous for many things and their Mother's Day Tea production is quite possibly their greatest event. Mr. D. has put an entire slide show together about a baby birds and how they leave their nest. The entire party has a bird theme and the kids spend weeks creating wonderful projects for their moms and grandmas. By the end there is not a dry eye in the room, even if you have already seen it with your other kids. It is so heart warming and so well done---an afternoon to remember forever and always!

Dress Up Days!

There are many things I love about Our Lady of the Snows, but I have to say dress-up days are one of my favorites! I just feel that it is good old fashion fun! Plus when you wear a uniform everyday, it is bonus to mix it up any way you can. Anns and I both love the challenge of creating our next requested gitty-up.

Decades Day
Anns chose the 80's for her dress up day. After all, who doesn't love the 80's? Aunt Jenn totally hooked us up with some totally RAD 80's goods.

I felt the peace sign backpack depicted such a new era...

Pioneer Day
In 4th grade Nevada is part of the standards and Mrs. Tsatsos did a fabulous job in teaching her students all about our great state! They finished up the unit by dressing up in pioneer garb, writing with quills and playing lots of old fashion games.
Maugee found Anns this cute little dress, the bonnet was actually Maugee's grandma's (hand stitched) and Kels hooked us up with the perfect boots. Thanks everyone for such an authentic costume!

Pioneer Day was Annsley-Rae's favorite dress up day of the whole year!

Good Sport!

Trini missed a hair cut appointment and the girls decided to take full advantage of the extra growth. They did his hair for hours one night!

What a face!
Now he know what they feel like every morning!

SURPRISE!!

Anne McComas was Annsley-Rae's 3rd grade teacher, she became a dear, dear friend to all of us during our year with her. Katie's kids have also had her and all of our love for this woman runs deep. We decided to have a little surprise birthday party for her at the Hummel's house, she was turning 60 and we wanted to celebrate! Our other dear friend, Nancy Misseldine helped us with the details. We had a fabulous evening together and I am pretty sure she felt our love!

The Bunnies!

There are so many reasons why one should insta-blog (blog the event right when it happens, instead of 4 months later). The bunnies and their is story is one of those many reasons, here is how the story goes.....

The day after we got home from Vegas I was pushing Cinco on the swings and talking one he phone to Julie. I noticed a big pile of dead grass under our slide and I decided to investigate. Low and behold it was a nest of three baby bunnies. When the girls got up I quickly showed them my discovery. They were elated and of course really wanted to keep them. We called Trin at work and he said get a box and make them a little home! We got to work and by noon that day had 3 new members in our family.

The girls loved the bunnies with all of their hearts. Anns named hers Lucky, Emm named hers Gracie and Tills named hers Christmas (of course). They played with them all day long, we would bring them in at night and they would sit and watch TV with us, Tills would put hers in a stroller, toy barns, doll houses...you name it. She would entertain the bunnies all day while her sisters were at school. Even Trin and I took to the bunnies, everyone was happy!

The entire bunny story is too tragic to blog, so I will keep it brief. One day we only had one bunny left and even though each girl really thought they knew their bunny, one could not truly tell them apart. Therefore, they renamed the last bunny PRAISY because the girls said they praised the Lord they still had one bunny left.

We now have no bunnies left, just their memories that live in our hearts!
