The Best Birthday Present Ever!

When Emmery-Kate entered Kindergarten she didn't really know anyone. We had a few familiar faces, but no real comfort zone. However, in no time the Lord blessed us with Faith and the whole Godina family. Faith and Emm-Kate had an instant connection and fast growing friendship. They spent all of Kindergarten and First Grade joined at the hip, their friendship was known far and wide. Now, there was only one problem, Faith could not have sleepovers and Emm longed to have Faith spend the night. So, for Emm's birthday Michelle surprised us all and let Faith stay the night.....it was a wish come true!

The fun continued when Emm turned around and went to Faith's to stay the night. A DOUBLE DECKER spend over....does it get better than that!?!

Hearts, Art & Birthday Wishes!

All of my girls start planning their birthday parties right around January 1st!! It is a highlight for them and I have to say I love it too. So when Emm decided on hearts, I was thankful for the early planning. We started gathering our heart loot in February and we had some wonderful treasures come June!

We had chicken strips, plain potato chips, grapes and juice all adorned with some type of heart love!

Mrs. Bean is responsible for Emm-Kate's love for a heart, so we were thrilled that she joined us for the HEART festivities. Emm loves Mrs. Bean with all of her HEART!!!

My girls aren't usually in school for their birthdays, but this year was an exception, so we invited 7 of Emm's buddies from First Grade, plus all of our wonderful cousins. It was a full house!!

Emm-Kate got some extra special gifts including: Oversized heart shaped sunglasses, among other treasures from Aunt Jenn and this special green polka dotted nightie from Tia. Anns got this same nightie from Aunt Julie and it is a coveted item in our house., by both sisters and brother. So when Emm got her own, pure joy came over her face!

I am ever so grateful for this picture. Emm's front tooth was loose I didn't want her to lose it. In fact I had cried a couple of times over it. She lost it at lunch on her birthday.

Birthday WISH!

All of my kids have been wanting a pet for quite some time now, but Emmery-Kate is my most persistent in asking. She really, really wanted a kitty for her birthday. So the weekend before her birthday we went to Fallon. One night while we were there my mom, Emm-Kate and I went to Wal-Mart and you guessed it!!! A family was giving away 10 kitties right outside. We picked out this cute orange one, bought some kitty supplies and headed home. I must admit, I wasn't sure if I wanted the responsibilities of a pet, so my mom said we could leave it at her house if I wanted to. Emm was NOT okay with that plan. So we took him home and her Birthday WISH came true. She named him DODGER!
